On 19th and 20th May 2009, a group of 15 Tunisian University Rectors and Vicerectors and Business representatives visited the University of Alicante, with the objective to learn about different university-enterprise cooperation models and facilitate peer learning at the strategic level of the partner institutions.
The competent representatives of the University of Alicante and of the other EU project partners, University of Genova (Italy) and University of Saarland (Germany), presented their industry liaison structures and cooperation models. The Study Visit forms part of a detialed Benchmarking analysis carrid out in the beginning of the project with the objective to identify gaps in performance among the participanting institutions, provide real-life examples of success and a framework for objective external evaluation. The study visit and the Benchmarking study creates the basis for development of conceptual framework and strategy for the cooperation network and long term strategies of the offices.
