Practical Training at Saarland University

Dates: 29th–30th November 2010

This training module of the UNILINK Project took place in Saarbrücken at Saarland University, from November 29th to 30th. The aim of this training module was to train PC liaison office staff in aspects of Technology-Transfer Models, Technology Transfer Management, IP Commercialisation and sustainability.

The training focused on the following aspects:

  • Technology Transfer Model at Saarland University
  • Further Technology Models in Germany by comparison
  • Practical examples
  • Strategic development of regional Technology Transfer
  • Sustainability and Technology Transfer
  • IPR Issues and exploitation activities at Saarland University
  • International Cooperation of Universities and Technology Offices
  • Implementing Entrepreneurship- and Technology Transfer- Infrastructure
  • Innovation and Project Management issues within (EU) research projects

The main content and experience providers were experts from Saarland University and Ministry representatives as well as Directors from local companies involved in Technology Transfer and (EU)research projects, in order to discuss the scientific and industrial aspects. This training provided a wide range about the daily work of the Technology Transfer Office at Saarland University and exemplified practical experience, local success stories and trends in international Technology Transfer Management.
